Generally, the definition of an application model consists of such information as packet interarrival times and sizes, while the user profiles specify which applications are used, when each application starts, for how long each application executes, whether the applications within the profile are executed concurrently or sequentially, when the whole profile starts and ends, and so on.
The primary differences in configuration are the size of e-mail messages and the interarrival times of send and receive messages.
r Transaction Interarrival Time (seconds)-specifies the duration of the time interval between two consecutive database transactions.
r Send Interarrival Time (seconds)-specifies when the next batch of e-mail messages will be uploaded to the e-mail server.
The send and the receive interarrival times are independent of each other.
